Clear this up for me

Ok if you have an engine that is supposted to have a 50oz flywheel and balancer on it and you put a 28oz flywheel and balancer on it it will vibrate right?

The reason I ask this is I had my 28oz fluidamper on it and put the new flywheel and clutch I got from a local guy on it and it vibrated bad. So I pulled the tranny thinking I may have put the clutch in wrong. Well it was in right. So I pulled the flywheel and put the old flexplate on it that came with the engine and its as smooth as silk.

So after saying all this is it safe to say that I need a 28oz flywheel? I have a t5 and a t5 bell so I'm going to need a 157 tooth 28oz wheel right?

Yeah, thanks for confirming what I already thought was true. I'm a little ticked right now as I called a clutch place up and told them I had a 79 302 and needed a flywheel and clutch. Well they give me a 157 tooth flywheel, I just assumed it was weighted 28oz right, wrong. I put it on and started the engine and it felt like I was sitting on one of those paint shakers at lowes well thats when I put the old flexplate that came with the engine, was originally in an auto car, and it ran fine with the 28oz streetdamper on it.

I just wanted to make sure I get the right part since this damn place won't take their crap back as they say its the right part and I've already used it and they couldn't even tell me what weight it was!!!

With my above mods could somebody suggest where I can find a 28oz 157 tooth flywheel and appropriate clutch for my t5?
