Clearing codes on a 96 cobra, same as older mustangs?

Is clearing codes on a 96 the same as in older mustangs?

Behind the glove box is a two prong grey harness, you put the key in,
turn to ignition position, and then short the two points to clear the codes?

I have the blinking airbag problem, and it's driving me crazy. I want to
clear the codes to see if there really is something wrong.

Found the answer, seems it is.

Just disconnect the negative battery terminal for 5 seconds.
