So you're acknowledging it's not coming from the engine. Best way to check is open the hood and have someone listen to the engine to see if it's coming from there.

Originally I thought you heard the sound either coming from the engine, or from underneith the car. I didn't think it was coming from inside the cab.

Are you running a/c or heat, or maybe just the fan from your vents????? I'm thinking it's something trapped in the vents or something with your heater core that's causing something to hit against something else.

Do your speedo guages read correctly or are they off, or do the needles bounce around erratically?

the speedo is off but like i said... i can be sitting at a stop and rev it up and still hear the clikcing.. does the speedo gear move when its not rolling????? ALso its not the engine or exhaust it has alittle lifter tap but thetas in the engine bay this is clearly inside the car just cant quite figure it out

When you rev the car, your RPM needle goes up and down cheech! Even when you idle and you don't give it gas, the RPM needle is still at 900 RPM's, and not at zero.

Why's your speedo off???? Did you try to install whiteface guages or something? Maybe you bent the pin that holds the needle? Or, maybe you snapped something off the back wire's that go into the guage pod?

I'm starting to agree that it may be something with your gauges.

[PonyBoy90] If it is his throw-out bearing, what would cause it to go ka-put?

its not exactly going out...there just not enough pressure on it, meaning the clutch cable is a little to loose, the stock quadrant doesnt exactly like to work like ford wanted it to.

my car has an odd ticking noise but i think its just the valvetrain system. it became a bit louder this morning when i did my A/C-smog pump delete but its nothing terrible. at first, i thought it was the fan but im not sure. i would need to get an engine stethoscope and find out.
