clunking from rear end

i have a 2000 GT auto with 97k miles with an X-pipe. Every time i go over a speed bump it sounds like something from the rear is hitting the ground, and there is a loud "clunking sound'. Anyone know what it might be??

Could be the exhaust pipes hitting (where it bends up and over the axle) ..

check the sway bar...mine broke around where it mounts to the control arm,didnt even look broke until i pulled down on it and the one side pulled down further than it should have.
