Hello all, I have a 2007 v6 mustang with a t5 5 speed trans. I replaced the original clutch with a full exedy kit ( slave cylinder included) about 6,000miles ago. Then 2,000miles later my trans blew up and had to be rebuilt. Currently I have 5,000mi on the trans and second gear started to grind at any speed/variation...I can get it into gear but it grinds. In addition, ever since I’ve owned it it has had a rumbling noise that went away when the clutch was disengaged. Also the new clutch has started slipping when pulling in first gear. I just pulled the trans to find that the bell housing is covered in oil (from the slave cylinder?) and the throw out bearing has marks on it like it has been rotating againsed the clutch fingers. Upon pulling the trans apart I found that the spacer between 2nd gear and the syncro cone is torn up and has become concave from the gear forcing it into the splines/cone. And finally the syncro ring is perfect on the outside but the inside has zero friction material left!! What could be causing all of this?
Thanks,Christian
