I replaced my cable and quadrant recently with the Maximum Motorsports setup 9Ford cable, etc). Was great for the first few weeks, but now I get a bit of binding towards the end of the pedal travel. I hate how it feels. Anyone experience this? Also if it makes a difference (not familiar with 5 speeds), it feels great when the car is not running.

Doing it only while it's running makes me think the throwout bearing has some sort of issue, either with itself, or the retainer. Either that, or when you replaced the cable, the clutch fork somehow shifted and came off of the pivot ball, but I'd bet the chances of that are slim to none.

I agree with the retainer.

did you do it yourself or did someone do it for you? Might just need a little adjustment. Probably tighter.

Installed it myself, done it before on previous Mustangs, never had a problem. Its routed properly and adjusted properly as per MM instructions so there is no excess stress on the TOB.
