It's been slow going thanks to very slow cash flow, but I am close to finishing this T5 swap thing...but I am running into a problem...the clutch does not seem to disengage. As far as I can tell, everything is installed properly but when I press the clutch pedal down it feels spongy and does not stop the wheels from turning. Start the car in gear with foot on the clutch and the wheels turn. Start car out of gear and try to put it in gear, and the wheels begin to turn even with slight pressure on the shifter, not even fully into gear. I was thinking it was the aftermarket cable, so I got a Maximum Motorsports cable for $10 from a friend, and the Maximum cable is just too long. When pressing the clutch, it operates the fork properly but it seems that the fork has a bit more travel left in it but the cable is not strong enough to do it. My setup is a Steeda double hook quadrant with a King Cobra clutch set. Would getting a firewall adjuster and taking any extra slack out of the cable gain me the last bit of travel it seems the fork needs? This is the last thing I need to get this car back into drivable condition so any help is appreciated!!
