Pick up a stocker if yours isn't in good shape anymore. Most of the adjustable aftermarket cables end up stretching and breaking. You'll notice it if you pick one up and you're constantly adjusting it until it finally snaps.

I have the Steeda Clutch Adjuster Kit. Never had an issue with it.

I would consider Steeda to be on the high-end of aftermarket replacements, versus say a company like UPR. That's why I said most, but not all the adjustables stretch. Just wanted to clarify that.

If you end up needing an adjustable cable, I very much liked my Ford adjustable set-up. When compared to a stock cable, it appeared to be close in build quality.

Good luck.

The best feeling and grabbing clutch set up we have ever had or I have ever driven was my dads car with a stock cable. I have had adjustables of all kinds and can say his was the smoothest, grabbed in the perfect spot, and was just perfect. Never was able to duplicate that with any aftermarket adjustable combo!

I used an OEM sn-95 Ford replacement in mine that I bought mine a couple of years ago, because at the time the sn-95 (94-04) replacement cables were like half the price of the fox cable. Since the sn-95 cable is longer, you have to redrill the hole in the frame to reposition the bracket, but it gives you better clearance for longtubes and whatnot. Part of the reason I went throught the extra effort is because it will be longer before the SN-95 cables go obsolete from Ford parts and service.

Either way, I'll back up the guys saying to use the OEM Ford cable by telling you that I'll never put another aftermarket cable in my car again.
