I have a 98 cobra with 71,000 miles on it. Just 2 days ago I noticed a knock from the clutch area and a slight bounce in the clutch pedal that matched the sound. When I removed the cable cover today and then cranked the car, The clutch fork was bouncing a bit which caused it to tap the cover and make the sound. Anyway, when I barely and I mean just barely put pressure on the clutch pedal the vibration stops as does the sound obviously. My question really is, has the cable loosened up and is causing the fork to bounce more, or is the fork loose or the throwout bearing going out? Keep in mind, there are no other sounds, the clutch still shifts perfect as it always has.
Thanks guys!
