Even so, with as often as this topic gets brought up, there's always a new thread on it being posted within the first 1 or 2 pages of recent posts. I don't mind helping, as long as folks are willing to help themselves a little bit, too.
The difference between the one Ford dealerships generally list for some insane price ($160+) and the Maximum Motorsports cable is that MM's cable is a "universal" piece, as it doesn't come with the brass cable-to-frame bracket, and it's just a tad longer than most cables for Fox models (which is a good thing if you're using a FWA and a single-hook quad, as some single-hook quads won't allow you enough room to get a stock Fox cable over 'em). Takes a whopping 5 minutes to bend the old bracket slightly to get it off your old cable and transfer/crimp it onto the new one with a pair of redneck pliers - same cable for half the cost, plus 5 minutes of work.
Not 100% sure how it'll work with the "universal" cable, as that one's a tad longer than the stock Fox cable, but I do recall reading that the Zoom quads tend to be a bit too big of an arc to get the very end of the cable looped over 'em, since they're made for use with an adjustable cable that has a LOT more slack available to it. Someone had a pic posted up, awhile back, where they had stacked three different quads atop one another and, IIRC, the Zoom had an arc a few degrees more than the others - enough that it might not allow the cable enough room to go over the end of it. Just something to keep in mind while you're waiting on the parts to arrive.
You may want to consider going with one of those quick-release quads some places offer, as well. Pretty cheap if you're just buying the quad, itself, and it would benefit you, either way, whether your Zoom quad will work with that MM cable or not.
Now that I think about it, I should probably take a peek at my own cable just to make sure everything's still kosher with it. The last cable I had on there was breaking at the quad-side end, and now I'm kinda wondering if maybe the quad, itself, might've had a role in that (if it's needing to be shimmed over a bit, or something).
Looks like you replaced one of the driver's side stock header flange studs with a standard bolt/washer/nut at some point in the past...
the easiest way to do it is to hook the cable to the quad first. then hook it to the fork, unhook the fork and push the cable in a lil, hook it to the quad, then go under the car and hook to the fork
i guess it should be the same either way, its just a pain working under that tight dash work area, but yeah be SURE to take off that rubber grommet, and grind the tabs. if not you will be working forever and prob still never get the cable on.
I hooked the quadrant first then hooked the fork..then the dang cable fell off the quadrant first hook and grabbed the second
