I'm trying to get my factory cable to go back in my clutch fork and I can press my clutch fork back about an inch to an inch and a half. Is this ok?

In case I missed it, what quadrant are you using? Some of them wont let you use a stock cable (the throw on the quadrant is too long).

You might find Jeremy Thompson's article on the subject helpful.

Good luck.

I'm using the stock one. I have a UPR 3way but it's gonna be to big of a bitch for me to mess with.

In that article, he has hyperlinks for pics. Check the routing to see if yours is somehow off.

MAKE SURE YOU REMOVED THE GROMMET ON THE CABLE (I didnt mean to post loudly, but it's important). And make sure the firewall adjuster is run all the way in.

I run a UPR single hook and OEM cable and the cable just barely makes it to the fork.

Good luck.

There was a rubber piece in the firewall that's gone and a plastic piece that's still on there that meets the FWA.

Go to www.Maximummotorsports.com and follow their online instructions for installing the quad. and FWA. They have good pics.

The installation of a FWA doesnt go too well if the grommet isnt removed from the cable. The FWA takes the place of the grommet.
