I have an issue with the clutch hole in the firewall is bending. The issue started with the clutch cable some how came in contact with the hole. I was using aftermarket cables and a cheap firewall adjustor and quad. I switch to the MM kit and the clutch is much smoother.

Anyway the adjuster is not tilted towards the engine so I know the fiewall is bending again.

Some ideas I had to solve this are as follows.

1. Make a 1/4" steel plate that would fit over the hole and roughly 1/2" oversized. It looks like a 2" square plate would work. I would need a place who could machine one for me and Iwould also need the diameter of the firewall hole.

2. Would be to bend the hole back in to shape and weld the hole using a mig. Maybe a muffler shop can do this?

Any other options would be great too.

Thanks
