In your sister. If none, your mom
My clutch is do dead. Real bad shape. :D I started to work on the car around noon to remove the clutch and flywheel. In my driveway as usual.. :notnice:

Removed H-Pipe, driveshaft, starter, shifter, crossmember, T5, clutch/pressure plate. Then I get to the flywheel and find out I need either an air compressor tool or a manual "special" tool to remove flywheels...I wanted to remove everything today so I could just bring the flywheel to a machine shop tomorrow morning to have it resurfaced. Now I have to drive to my brother-in-law's shop, borrow the tool, get back here, remove the flywheel, bring it to shop. I'm pretty tired.

I'm not buying another Spec clutch. It was a great clutch when it worked but very short life. My fault though. I didnt give it the break in time required. I'm not spending on a super clutch either. I just bought a King Cobra clutch and hopefully it'll last longer than the spec.

Spec are good clutches but you need to break them in properly. Something like 500miles of easy driving. If you dont do that you'll end up like me.

Yip 500miles of stop and go driving... every big performance clutch tells you to do this. My DF Centerforce was like that

S.P.E.C II Clutches are very good , but they do wear like any other clutches .

I had one for over 2 years on my car , never had a problem with it and I did abuse it ( Spray , 315/35 Nittos on the back etc. )

I'm sure the King Cobra will bo the job as good as the S.P.E.C one.

:nice:

HAHA YEH that seems to happen alot to people.. just before the dyno or the races we all seem to go out a break something or find something thats wrong with the car! But when we get it fixed its allways well worth it! :nice:
