i personally don't think it is your clutch...you might want to have a mechanic take a look, that sounds bad...the clutch will usually slip under load if it is worn out

How would you describe car behavior during clutch slip under load?

My car has 95,000 on original clutch with good few drag strip trips. I would love to believe it is just the clutch

Im gettin my new one in this week sometime hopefully, the symptoms(sp?) of a clutch slip are basically you get on it and the rpms raise but your car doesnt move. Its easiest to tell on my 1-2 shift, ill shift and the rpms will go to 4g's before the damn thing catches... It doesnt ever jerk though, so i doube the clutch is it.

I already have SPEC 1 clutch. I bought it two years ago thinking that with all the drag strips it is not going last much longer. Suprisingly it lasted. I will install it this weekend, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst

When I was driving from work today it did seem more like what you guys are describing. RPMs increased while car didn't accelerate well under load. Also, clutch pedal is a lot heavier now then it used to be, but that might be the worn out cable problem
