i personally don't think it is your clutch...you might want to have a mechanic take a look, that sounds bad...the clutch will usually slip under load if it is worn out

Im gettin my new one in this week sometime hopefully, the symptoms(sp?) of a clutch slip are basically you get on it and the rpms raise but your car doesnt move. Its easiest to tell on my 1-2 shift, ill shift and the rpms will go to 4g's before the damn thing catches... It doesnt ever jerk though, so i doube the clutch is it.
I already have SPEC 1 clutch. I bought it two years ago thinking that with all the drag strips it is not going last much longer. Suprisingly it lasted. I will install it this weekend, hoping for the best but preparing for the worst

When I was driving from work today it did seem more like what you guys are describing. RPMs increased while car didn't accelerate well under load. Also, clutch pedal is a lot heavier now then it used to be, but that might be the worn out cable problem
