Clutch or traction?

For some reason, im beginning to think that the clutch on my 5,400 mile 03' GT is starting to go bad on me. I ran thru 1st gear on the freeway onramp and when I shifted into 2nd it peeled and the rpm's just stayed at 4k rpm until I got traction then it went up to redline.

Im still able to have the back swigle/fishtail on a good 1-2 shift though..so am I looking at traction problems or clutch?

Drive slow to normal to 5th gear. Floor it in 5th at a low MPH. What do your rpm's do?

my clutch went out on me and i took it to star ford over on brand the warranty did not cover it so i paid to have it replaced and now my throw out bearing is winning so it looks like i will have to crack open the tranny again i think i will get a spec stage 2 clutch and do it myself. i think you are having traction problems though because you will know when the clutch gives

You can open the access plate on the tranny and spray some Lithium Greae on to the TOB. That should quiet it down for a while.
