Mustangs Plus has a pedal shaft repair kit, and I think it would a good idea while I have mine pedal out. My question is, how do you get the shaft off the pedal?

I ground the mushroomed part off the pedal end and used a punch to drive it out. The shaft is supposed to be installed by a punch-press that splits the end and mushrooms the end, but I just had the shaft welded to the pedal.

I did it the same way as mustangracer. Also, look into getting on of the roller bearing kits to replace those crappy plastic bushings while you have it out. I fabbed my own, but here's a link for ya
