I just put a new clutch in because I put in a rear main Sleeve to stop an never ending oil leak. The clutch didn't engage so I had it towed to The Pros. They said its my pedal. I have about a one-inch lag between the Quad and the pedal. I think its enough for it not to work. Sometimes its a click with it. Bushings could do it?? Pedal assembly??

The Fork is really hard to push where it comes out of the bell housing. Like it barely moves. Should I be able to push fairly easily so it engages?? The clutch is hard to push. I am wondering if I should pull the transmission because the fork isn't on the pivot ball.

Thoughts:

Clutch cable sleeve is not secure or routed with a severe loop
Cable stretch - You can shim this at the firewall with some large washers

When you put it all beck together, are you certain that the TOB is correctly positioned on the fork with the retaining springs over the back of the fork?

You should be able to look up in there with a flashlight to see if the fork is on the pivot ball.
The clutch fork is really hard to just push by hand. There's enough spring force there to let you do burnouts. O_o

The exhaust system is off, and Im about to dig in. My garage is ninety two degrees later in the day. I ordered a new fork. The good news is my car leaked oil forever, but the new sleeve seems to be working so most of my time with this car has been a slipping clutch. I find that no mechanics want to work on my nice car. Always an excuse

No BS there. I literally pull the tires off the Foxes and take them to get balanced as I don’t trust people driving my cars let alone working on them. Trust my engine builder and a couple of my buddies but that’s about it.

I'm with you there, had new tires put on and the idiots did'nt realize the wheels were bigger in the rear until I looked at the car and said WTF
