Hi everyone,

2 days ago i joined the proud owners of a Mustang buy buying a 2002 GT.

The clutch pedal is to stiff and its killing me when i cruise in traffic. The previous owner told me that its a high performance clutch and i'll get use it.
Is it normal to be like that?

Also sometimes i hear a sound when engaging first gear or second at low speed, like metal clicking sound..if ur changind gears on a ferrari. Is this normal also..

Just im new to these awesome cars and no nothing about them.

Regards

Sounds like they put in a beefy clutch without either resurfacing the flywheel or getting too strong of a clutch for the power output of the car.

More than likely if the clutch isnt slipping or preventing you from shifting, it sounds like you are "chattering" the clutch to the pressure plat/flywheel and the sound results from that.

I bet he put in a race clutch (Spec Stage 3 or up, McCleod whatever, Centerforce DF or the Ram Powergrip) without getting or resurfacing the flywheel.

All this will probably do is kill the life of the clutch and maybe tranny if it wasnt installed correctly...
