Never heard of torquing the clutch. The pressure plate bolts, however require no more than 25 ft/lbs. Use Grade 8 or 9 bolts for this, they have a lot of stress on them for only 5/16" bolts.
As DHearne pointed out more details would be helpful. If you are refering to the transmission to clutch/bellhousing bolts 37-42 ftlbs is recommended don't overdue it or else you well blow out the threads in the housing. Then you will be rethreading it with helicoil or replacing it. Good luck getting a torque wrench to be useful on the top 2 bolts though I remember having issues with this in the past. If you are refering to the clutch/bellhousing to engine bolts 40-50 foot lbs is recommended.
sorry, in my haste i really did a bad job on offering specifics, im looking for what to torqur the preasure plate to flywhleel bolts to., ill try to be more spcific in the future.
My '68 Shop manual says 12-20 lb-ft for pressure plate to flywheel attaching bolts.....if you want to be specific. I think I just "winged it" last time.
