My '99 v6 started making this loud squeeling noise every time i depress the clutch. It happened almost instantaniously after a long drive, the clutch has never slipped, it just randomly did this. I can feel the clutch actually moving on its own while out of gear. While in gear, the squeal is sporatic, but overall it sounds like something is scraping that shouldnt be. I'm guessing my clutch is gone. The last car I owned, when the clutch was starting to go, it just started slipping. I just have a feeling that something really bad just happened. Also with the clutch, for the last year or so, whenever it was depressed it would make a sound as if I were streaching a spring. That would go away periodically, just like many of the noises that randomly pop up in my car....
So if anyone can give me a tip on what the problem is, and probably how much you think its going to cost me, I'll be appreciative.
