clutch problems

i have a zoom quadrant and adjustable cable. it seems that if i run the adjustment far enough up for me to get the car easily into gear it lets the clutch slip. anyone ever have this problem. seem like i dont have enough stroke in the clutch.

is it possible your cable has stretched? is the clutch quadrtent a double hook? can you install end of cable on other hook?

single hook. i dont know if the cable is stretching or not but i am thinking it probably is.

How much freeplay is in the cable? THere should be none. I have the feeling you have a little too much or something is keeping you from getting the pedal all the way into the floor.

less than none. i had to run the cable up about an inch and a half to get it to disengage
