i am looking at a 95 gt to buy but the cluth seems very stiff. i drove my neighbors 03 gt and the clutch is twice as easy to push in. is this normal.? in the 95's, did they not have hydrolic clutches?

no hydraulic clutch, you prolly have a heavy duty clutch installed like a king cobra clutch. thats what i have and its about 3-4 times stiffer...ask the seller what type of clutch is installed?? welcome to stangnet....

well the car has a flowmasters, intake, ignition system, and full saleen kit(rims, suspension, wing, hood) it has 110k miles. it seems to run good. ewhat things should i be looking at. what should have been done or replaced? thanks for all the help

Check to see if the clutch quadrant has been replaced. Misaligned quadrant with the hole in the firewall = stiff clutch. If there is misalignment, the aluminum quadrant will rub the cable and grab. I'm running a King Cobra w/T600, smooth as silk.

In addition, if the cable is misrouted and forms too tight of an arc, it can lead to a real stiff pedal.

I run the HD set-up. The pedal is stiff but very smooth. If the pedal uptake on this car is 'chunky' that can be a cable issue.

Good luck.

Check the balancer too, they are notorious for failing on our cars. Start the car and carefully look down at the balancer to see if it "wobbles." If it does it'll more than likely need replaced.
