I am tired of my crappy ram clutch and am going to go to a FRPP or stock ford. It is my understanding that the cobras have a 20% better gripping clutch, is that so? I have a 93 Gt could i just get a stock 93-95 cobra clutch? Also if i do go with stock could it handle 300lb(rwtq) torque? I know the heavy duty is good but i can get discounts on stock ford parts.

A stock clutch would work but I'm not sure it would last too long. I have the FRPP clutch and it works pretty well, very hard pedal though.

The King Cobra clutch is pretty good. I think it can hold around 300rwtq pretty easily. I also suggest the Spec stage 1. It is supposed to hold up to 410 ft/lbs of torque. Stage 2 can hold up to 520. They are great clutches.

The reason i am getting rid of the ram is because it is hurting my foot because the pedal is so hard. I saw in summit they have a King Cobra (same as heavy duty with 10% less pedal effort) has anyone tried one?

For $169, I don't think you can find them cheaper.
