clutch replacement checklist

Dropping it or sliding back doesn't matter as long as you have the room you need. Make sure you get everything you need all at once. Pilot bearing also. Alignment tool ( I have done clutches without one but it depends on experience too ). If you plan on doing the job in one day make sure your machine shop can take your flywheel to get it turned. Throwout bearing also. I know lots of people switch the input shaft sleeve on the t-5 as well due to wear issues.
Have fun and be patient if it is your first clutch.

Yea, not much to a clutch install, just be patient. the easy stuff will always go harder than it should. put a jack under the tail shaft of the tranny after you unbolt the crossmember, its easier to take the tranny and the bellhousing off seperately , once the tranny is out, you'll be able to get all the bolts for the bellhousing off.. If its your first one, remember the starter has to come out too.. Lol, It took me a while to figure that out , the first time I did mine..

5Spd GT and JRichker have both done write-ups as I recall. Just in case one is searching, I'd keep an eye peeled.

Good luck.
