Hey, does anyone know which wires I have to join together on the clutch safety switch to be able to start the car without the clutch. I have a remote start and dont know how to bypass the clutch. I know that people will say not to put a remote start in a 5 spd car but I've had it in all of my previous cars without a problem. (First time mustang owner so clutch switch isnt the usual 2 wire design). Please help me out. Even if someone has a wiring diragram, it might help me as well, Thank you, Paul.

To bypass the clutch safety switch you first need to disconnect both connectors on the switch. Then simply connect the two wires from each switch together. The previous owner of my Mustang slid a dime into each connector instead of cutting and splicing the wires together. I haven't had any problems with this yet and I can reconnect the switch at any time.

I suggest you rig up some switches on your shifter so the car won't start when its in gear. I learned this the hardway. Christmas Eve last year, I started my car from the family room, heard tire screetches and a big bang. The car drove itself into the shed on the side of my house. I now have safety switches all over the place on my shifter base.

the damage:

that was a brand new cobra bumper, btw

I wired my clutch switch up so that it will only engage when it's not in gear, but if I leave it in gear it won't turn over. Don't know how to wire up my remote start though, and have been to lazy to figure it out. I'll check out how i wired mine together and keep you posted.

Also, has anybody wired up the Viper 791 xv and can give some help wiring up the relay satelite and the other remote start wires, your help would be greatly appreciated.
