Having issues getting the clutch cable out of the firewall so I can put an adjuster on. I have already installed the quadrant. When I unbolted the cable from the firewall it seemed like the cable itself was stuck inside the firewall. How am I supposed to get it out?

Hi,
Were you able to remove the cable from where it enters the firewall in the engine bay; right side? The teeny bolt is hard to see, but it’s there, at 4:00 using the cables position as 12 O’’clock, cable should just come right out once removed, providing the cables not landed in the quadrant.
Whether you are replacing it or not, I’d still remove the cable & hang it vertically(do this swapping ends on both sides), lube with a light oil or my preference, dry graphite spray, working back & forth for smooth action.
Being small diameter & threaded into nothing significant, it may strip or snap upon removal attempts. Adjustable aluminum cable adjusters generally have slots to utilize this bolt or bolt(s)
I’ve noticed a hole or holes in the firewall (drilled from engine bay) and drilled & tapped holes in the cables firewall ’boss’ to match the pattern (in a vise) using threaded or self tapping screws from the inside (under the dash).
Drop the steering column down from the interior slightly if you seek a better view, easy, only bolts. clips.
Post questions as needed.
