Having issues getting the clutch cable out of the firewall so I can put an adjuster on. I have already installed the quadrant. When I unbolted the cable from the firewall it seemed like the cable itself was stuck inside the firewall. How am I supposed to get it out?[/QUO
Hi,
Did you remove the small retaining Bolt located about 3/4” from the cable as it enters through the engine bay on the firewall? Most aftermarket quadrants have (2) spots to land the inner cable. There’s either a load on the clutch, or that bolt hasn’t been removed.
There’s an L bracket in the cable down below, route it the same way (worked well before).
You’re reusing the old cable? Your choice, but IMO- you should replace all at the same time, best time to do it.
If the.Cable’s still landed to l the clutch fork, jump underneath & back off on the clutch cable’s adjuster nut & slide the cable out of the fork, then the quadrant.
