I just got my Kooks 1 7/8" headers the other day! BUT, I don't have the time or money to have them jet-hot coated right now. I would definitely like to have them coated when I store the car next winter, but what should I do until then? I could have them powdercoated at a local place for cheap, or just spray them with high-temp paint. Or what about header wrap? The car will probably be parked outside, but I dont intend to drive it in the rain unless I'm out somewhere and get caught in the rain.

BTW, here's a few pics. I just put them on the engine to test-fit them.

Might be worth consulting JetHot on this -- if you put other stuff on them it may be more expensive if they have a hardm time getting it off before coating -- if the coating goes on as well.

It might end up being better to just leave them bare and install/run them for a season.

One thing I wouldn't do is wrap em....read around...thats NFG...causes more hassles than it's worth from what I read....You could roach a nice set of Kooks... :bang:
I know new is best for Jet Hot as its inside as well...least the VHT stuff would prolly grit-blast off fairly easy once its worn in a year or so??
