i am going to get new brakes come spring time, since mine need replacing all around anyways. i am going to upgrade to cobra/bullitt brakes. except i cant decide which ones to get. im not the biggest fan of the runnign pony on the bullitts. putting the cobra brakes on would be showing that it is an upgrade. i would liek to have the name on there, but in no way is it advertising mine as one. obviously the gt emblem is about a foot away from teh brakes. would it be poser like to put the front red calipers on that say cobra on my gt? when it is showing an upgrade?

i agree with the above statement. who cares what other people think. hell, when my car goes in for paint it is getting a saleen body kit. its not a true saleen vehicle and it never will be, but i love the way the kit looks so im going to get it. my point is, do whatever makes you happy. the car is yours, not everyone elses so who cares what everyone else might or might not think?

I got Cobra front brakes for my GT. I went with the Cobras rather than the Bullits as I thought the red Bullits would look pretty bad with my dark green car compared to the Cobra's black, even if it says Cobra on it. Hey the way I look at it, it lets people know that it isnt just some other guy that threw some mufflers on his Mustang. And I still have the GT emblems and rear bumper, so its not like Im a poser, although the 96-98 Cobras look awesome with "COBRA" on the rear bumper.

I've got red Cobra 10th Anniversary Brake Kits for front and rear on my dark green GT. I like the looks and they do stand out a little, but the big thing is that I have a proper set of brakes now that can actually stop the car agressively.

Make sure you get a brake kit with stainless lines, so that you replace as much of the brake components as possible. I kept my master cylinder and the pedal feel is great. I'll replace the master cylinder at a later date (when necessary) with a new stock replacement.

On the visual factor:

Since I put the red Cobra brakes on, no one has asked me about my "Cobra" with the GT badges. :) I want to keep the GT stuff and keep most others guessing what's going on with my car. I'll have a Cobra front bumper eventually, but nothing else based on a Cobra. When I'm done modding my car, most people will see it as an 94 GT with exhaust, brakes, Cobra bumper, and slightly lowered. What they won't see is a full MM suspension, a 347, and many other upgraded underhood parts. Hopefully, the outward appearance won't be an attractant to theives and vandals.
