Wrong banjo bolt

That looks like the GT/V6 banjo bolt

You need shorter banjo bolts. Unsure if the OEM Cobra bolts are shorter though.

I think those are the same bolts.

My SS lines came with short bolts which i had to use. The Cobra/GT brake lines are a little thicker, so the bolts don't go in as far.

Are they black cobra/mach1/red cobra/ or bullit calipers? Let me know, i'll send you out a pair for free.
Looks like you need coarse one based on the pic. Here's the diff:

looks coarse to me too.

I beleive Mach 1's got the coarse threaded calipers.

I have a set of '98 Cobra calipers with the fine thread. However they are the 38mm piston versions...so i'm not using them. I have the 40mm mach's instead

they are the cobra calipers the red ones that say cobra on them, ya i guess these lines need smaller banjo bolts to make them work cause i got those banjo bolts from ford for the cobra caliper, they are course thread, they read in fine just hit the piston pm on those bolts that would be great cobra red 96 gt

When I tried to install the front stainless steel brake hoses last night, I used the banjo bolt from the drivers side brake hose that was part of the M-2300-K kit. The passenger brake hose was not the same as the drivers side. The connectors at the caliper was different. The banjo bolt for the connectors were also different.

The M-2300-K kit comes with 5 banjo bolts (N802724-S150) but these bolts do not fit the front spindles. The N802724-S150 banjo bolts are M10×1.5×26mm which are course thread and the banjo bolts that came with the brake hoses are fine thread.

The stainless steel brake hoses didn’t come with banjo bolts and only the drivers side fit so I contacted the parts guys are the local Ford dealership and found what should be the correct banjo bolt (W708034-S900). During our search, it was found that both course and fine thread banjo bolts were used on 1994-2004 Mustangs depending on caliper used. Here is what I found..

Fine Thread Banjo Bolts ( M10×1.0 ) Ford part # W708034-S900

1994 to 2002 Cobra

1999 to 2003 GT

2003 Cobra built until July 2002

2001 Bullitt

Course Thread Banjo Bolts ( M10×1.5 ) Ford part # N802724-S150

1994 to 1998 GT

2003 Cobra built after July 2002

2003 10th Anniversary SVT Cobra

2004 Cobra
