Cobra Bumper Inserts - Have bumper letters changed over the years?

I have a 96 cobra and want to get some black "COBRA" bumper inserts. Does anyone know if the bumper letters have changed over the years? In other words, will Cobra letters advertised as '03-'04 bumper inserts fit into a 96 bumper. I have been having a hard time finding letters have specify '96-'98 cobra. Anyone know what the story is with the bumper letters for a cobra?

96-98 Cobra bumper letters are smaller. In 94-95, I believe Cobra rear bumpers said "MUSTANG". 99+ Cobras have bigger COBRA letters on the back, they won't work.

No, they will not work.Just use a magic marker, that's what I would do.

Nah, j/k here's the first link I found, there are probably a lot more places, but this should get you started.

That place has some pretty cool stuff, but a lot of it just goes too far. I mean really, how many cobras do you really need on your car?

i would recommend the ss inserts. they are smokin hot on my black gt. they are definitely worth the extra bucks over the vinyl. go to ssinserts.com for those

Thanks for the help... I'll check out bobwhitedecals for the black inserts. I do like the SS inserts, but I just put the black FR500 wheels on my car and want to stick with black accents on my laser red car.

I have also been looking for a black lower valence insert similar to the one on the new 03-04 cobras and the Roush mustangs. I think that look is awesome on the new cobras; however, I don't know if this will look good on my 96. Does anyone know where to find these? I checked bobwhite decals and I didn't find them.
