Cobra Bumper

By the way I "HAD" one of those "Cobra" calipers in my car and i hated the way it said "cobra" so when i had the chance i threw in stock one and got the "Cobra" shaved off of it and got it powder silver gray to match my exterior.

I personally have "Saleen" body kit. And "Yes" it is real saleen kit. I live local to saleen so i went there and just bought it. I only have front and back. But i did not put "ANY" saleen stickers everywhere like others do. I kept all the "GT" emblems.

I like the look of front and back only with stock side skirts with early 94 front moulding.

If someone "asks" you is that a "REAL" cobra? what are you going to say? "YES" or "No. It's a clone"

When people asks me "dang. your car is fast. Is it just a GT"? I say "F**k yeah it is"

Keep you xenon GT look. It rocks:)

I cant even find enough people to stop saying my car is a nice 4.6 or who think my car is a clean looking car for being a 98  . Getting them to realize the difference from a GT to a Cobra is the least of my run in issues. Buddy of mine has a 96 Cobra and man those side emblems are just so much nicer than the GT emblems. If I was trying to sell it at a prem. and it was a fake...that is just DB'ery and not in good taste.

I say its a 94 mustang and its a fun toy.

Back on topic.....

I would be leary of buying one that is already painted...god knows how it will come and what you will have to do in order to get it prepped for paint. IIRC most aftermarket/OEM ones ran $245 or so in gel-coat. If your going to repaint anyway...just get one that is not painted save on some prep work.

If you do end up buying used....look into shipping it greyhound busline. The best way I have found to ship larger items. Before I got my cobra bumper I had to replace my GT bumper (cracked mine in a little scuffle due to ice on the road) and got a used one shipped from AL to MO for like $68 or something. Even had insurance on it.

Well you guyz convinced me NOT to get the Emblems or rear bumper. Hollywood: (name?):

The Xenon kit looks nice, but it is all attachments and is always scraping everything. Also, the front lip hangs too low and blocks airflow..the car heats up more. The jack doesnt get under the car right...It's just a big PITA. I also have a Cobra R hood going on. I was considering a cobra front bumper and saleen 281 wing. Or, just keep the front stock bumper with a Mach Chin spoiler....regardless, the rear Cobra bumper is out :nice:

I have polished PBR's up front with the bracket painted red, so I may ditch the CObra brakes all together.

Thanks again for all the input!

there is a cobra front and rear bumper in central FL for like $250 or $350.

Do you have a link and/or Listing?

Urban: I would love to get a Brembro Kit...depends on how much $$ I can get on my parts after the engine swap. I have some big plans coming down the pipeline in the next few months...want to make sure everything is a go before I start mentioning specifics.
Thanks

Mach Chin spoiler and polished PBR brakes are great idea. Your car will so good :) Cobra front bumper is okay. but chin spoiler and amber color fog and s281 wing. Those look "SICK" on 94-98 mustangs(I personally think it looks way better then cobra)

If you go cobra calipers. No more skinny tires up front for drag racing...:( so you will need to keep the GT front calipers for track days. Brembo calipers is out of the question... it would be nice for show :) are you going on a photo shoot for some magazine or something?

That's a nice pic....imagine that with a Cobra R Hood :nice: I will NEVER do skinnies up front for drag racing, so I may do a larger brake up front...use the $$ I save from the cobra bumper. Thanks for the pic. My "plan" (lol) is more a fast show car than a nice looking race car..if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the pic!
