You can still get along with numerous other Flip-Flop (camileon) color, The paint is more expensive, depending on the color and manufacturer, you talking anaware from 100 - 500 per quart. a car can be painted with two or three coats with about 2 quarts.

the ford stuff you cant get, only ford can. find a GOOD local painter, they should b able to price it for ya. not cheap. be cheaper to s/c prob

THe Mystichrome paint isn't available if you don't have the Cobra - so I've been told. In order to get a nice color changing effect, you need to have a good many coats applied to get a nice spectral shift. The more coats, the greater the shift.

Last time I checked PPG's Green/Purple color shifting paint would run me $1500 for my drop top. OUCH! That's with no black base coat, and no clear coat. OUCH! OUCH!

I'm not sure if you can just spray on color changing paint onto a clear coated black car, but I remember where all Saleens had to be ordered black from the factory for their chamelion paint.
