i was looking for some info on doing a cobra converson to my 96 gt. what i am tring to find out is what is the diff from the non PI block and the cobra block. do the heads bolt up? is the trans mounts and fly wheel the same? i know that i will need to get a comp and harness. for the heads i will need front covers and chains and gears and stuff. what i am tring to find out is do the heads bolt up and can i stroke it to the 5.4 or is that a whole diff motor?

first you're better off getting a complete 4v engine. lots of little things would be needed and the cobra block is aluminum. there's alot more to it than that but thats the simple answer

trans mounts i assume would work. older gt's and cobras had the same tranny but the flywheel is different (6 bolt vs. 8)

no you can't stroke it to a 5.4
