cobra conversion

is it possible to take a 96 gt and make the front end look just like a 03cobra. if so where do i get the parts and about how much will it cost?

Bondo filler and a lot of cuss words is what you'll need for this swap.

There is companys that make repro bumpers that fit .....Well I should say that bolt on. They do not fit, The body lines are all off, the 94 and up cars have smoother lines, not the sharper edges of the 03.. To do it somewhat corectly you have to get a front bumper, headlights, hood, from a 03 and modify and fabricate your 94 fenders to fit the 03 bumper and headlights, which will take a good amount of time and skill... If you have someone do this then expect to pay around 3000 to 5000 dollars.

That looks like ****, stick with the 94-98 cobra bumper if you want something different than the stock.

wasn't there just a 94-98 in MMFF or 5.0 mag that had a 03 cobra front end grafted on. I'll dig through my last few to see what issue it was when i get home later.

I think it was in 5.0 magazine, but yes he did it mofified the 94 fenders and grafted the 03 stuff on, I think he either owns or works at the body shop though.....It was the best conversion I have seen.

Wonder if it would fit better than the 99-04 to 05 front end conversion...

I was on Mustangworld checking some of the cars with that conversion kit, the fit is horrible!!! Looks like its been taped together.

i didnt just mean the bumper. i ment fenders, hood, headlights and front bumper

Study the body lines of a 94 car look down the side...... Then look closely at a 99-04 car..... the lines are different, if you bolt up a 04 front end to your 94 it goin to look like just that 2 halves of a car, the back of a 94 and a front of 04....plus the lines from the front fenders and the rest of the car wont match. It doesnt look good. If you want the look of 03-04 then go buy one, or you have to rebody the whole car, which time and money that it would cost to do that.....it would be cheaper to just buy one...

its in the April 06 5.0 magazine...guy has a 95 with 03 cobra front. He put in over 200 hours of labor so it would cost alot to pay someone else to do it. No pics of it on the website yet.
