Cobra injectors on 5.0L??

Newer injectors are "pencil tip" style and much quieter than the old noisy "fat body" injectors. They're physically the same length and will install in exactly the same fashion. You will need the adapter for the new, to old style plug connectors though. Mass Air meter should work to, but you'll need to have the ECU reprogrammed. The injectors and MAF on the later model mod motors aren't calibrated to one and other like they are on the old 5.0L OHV engines. The Mass Air Meter transfer function is programmed directly into the ECU.

Actually Niether are ours, The whole calibrated for one another thing came from the aftermarket, Companies made MAFs send out a certain voltage to make hte computer think a certain amount of air was flowing to allow the use of bigger injectors without a tune. It is a way of tricking the computer. We have MAF transfers and the such too.

Pro-M and PMAS use the electronic way of tricking the computer, C&L uses a differnt size tube around the sensor to meter or restrict air to trick the computer, niether way is a good way of doing it but the electronic is slightly better.

All in all, just get a good masair meter and whatever size injectors you need and get a tune. Another reason why I like self tuning, cheaper in the long run :)
