Im having a little trouble finding a intake manifold so should I skip that mod for now and get the headers first? Im definitly getting both of them but for now i only have money for one. The 30th me and all my buds are heading out to moroso(street cars only ) and one of my freind has a turboed civic puching 10 pounds of boost. He dynoed it the other day and claims 270 to the wheels but i havent seen the chart. I want to get all i can into my car before then just in case hes not lying. Should i keep looking for the intake or get the headers? If i get the headers i doubt ill have the money/time for an intake. Anyone wanna guess my time with all the stuff in my sig except the intake, (got the tires in my room & i can def get headers by then.) thanks
kevin

You will see more Power gains from an Intake then you will from headers. Get the intake if you want more bang for your buck.

Have you considered the Edelbrock Performer Intake? This intake flows some pretty good numbers and can be had for around 300 bones used? I opted for the Cobra only because of a good deal.

Your gonna need a new x-pipe anyway if you get the Long tubes, so right there you have to add an extra say 250 or so.

Ive looked on the corral, stangnet and ebaymotors and cant find one under 400. For the headers im just going to chop my x-pipe i got on there now. I geuss ill keep looking.......

BTW if this kid at my school is really putting 270 to the wheels in a civc, what should he be running in the 1/4?

I don't know but 270hp to the ground in a civic would be scooting pretty good. I hope I never see the guy, I would have to lose to a Honda.

Well my friends all motor crx is putting 340 to the wheels and runs 10.8...depends on the civic...270 @ the wheels should get pretty much any civic in the 12's on slicks with a decent driver if not quicker.

Just get an Edelbrock Performer or Trick Flow Street Heat if you're having trouble finding a Cobra. I got mine brand new (still in plastic) in the classifieds for $400 shipped to my door.
