Installed the cobra lower onto my 87 GT and even when I use the little rubber seal for the front in between the 2 large gaskets theres like an 1/8" gap in there in the front. Can I use copper RTV gasket maker in between it?

thanks

I've read you are supposed to use black RTV there.

That's what I'm planning on using.

Toss the rubber seals and put a 1/4" bead of blue silicone down. Worked well for me, and I've read it has worked well for others.

I've never used the kit with the rubber seals. I've always used the cork gaskets in the front and rear.

Everyone says to chuck them, but i run the cork with RTV and haven't had a problem that way

Tossed 'em and used RTV - no problems.
