So are all Cobras SC'ed? Or what year did they start supercharging and how many lbs of boost do they run stock?

Your kidding right??

if your talking about SVT, which i assume you are the 03/04 terminator cobra's are S/C.... 1993-95 they were 5.0's, 96-04 they were hand-built 4.6 DOHC's, they were NA until 03

No not kidding, I've just never know anyone who had one and I've never looked into buying one so I really just didn't know. I do know that I raced an '03 Cobra past my house the other day and spun and lost but it seemed like a pretty quick car. All '03's are SC then yes? How many lbs of boost? Thanks.

Stock shows 8lbs. of boost, but being that the power itself is underrated I wouldn't be surprised if it's a little more at the top.

You can do a blower swap and have 600 at the wheels If I didn't build my car so much to my liking, I'd have sold it for an '03 Cobra already Maybe the next car will have an 03 powerplant in it >=)

03 Cobra Style supercharged engine installed in 2005 Mustang

A customer recently drove in to our shop with a stock 2005 V6 Mustang, and we installed an aluminum block 4.6 DOHC engine with an 03 Cobra supercharger package. There was a lot of work to do to make this work, but the results were worthwhile. For those who can't wait for the Shelby GT500, this is the next best thing.

This is the GD car that Ford fans have been screaming for! I'll never be able to figure out why they just don't build it.

Yeah well there's this guy around me whom I've waited to race since like last summer who has an '03 Cobra. I have 5.0 with 9lbs of boost so I figured it would be a decent race. The other day he was pulling out of a drive and I casually drove past. He flys up on my ass and starts reving the piss out of his car. I was like Helll yeah, finally. So, he pulls up and we start talking about the '99 SS LS1 H/C/I with 150 shot who we have both raced. I beat him on just engine but when he sprayed he walked me by a car and half up to 130. This was in the country with slicks on so there are still questions because of my traction problem. The guy says he smoked the Cobra when they raced. So anyway, the Cobra and I go from a roll at about 35 and he just stomps the crap out of me like I'm in an Edsel. I only saw about 4 lbs of boost and spun on street tires. Needless to say I was very disgusted having waited so long for this race and having it end so quick. There was so much traffic we ended up losing each other and I never got a rematch. I really want to get him on the track because I think I'll take him.

You know I love my Gt, and it runs great, just the amount of power those cobra's can make is awsome, not to mention they have forged internals.....I found my Gt in mint low millage condition and it already had the biggest mod I was looking for the kennebell blower on it, I just need to upgrade to the intercooler and 9 psi pulley soon.....you will be very happy with the Gt, I also have a 93 notch, which I love, but I love the 99-04 cars, trust me you will love a 99-04 Gt, and I figure with my intercooler my Gt will be around 400 to the rear wheels, not bad.....

No intercooler required for a KB pushing 9 lbs. Swap in the pulley and do the tuning and you'll be straight!
