I am pretty sure you have to have a shortened dirveshaft (either buy it that way or have a shop cut, re-weld, and re-balance yours), crossmember chassis mounts must be slide back and re-welded (not just the mounts themselves as the case with the tko).

Do you have an integral bellhousing on the tranny or is the bell able to be seperated? What spline input count do you have, is it 10 (which I think is stock cobra) or the aftermarket ford 26?

D&D will not help you out with swap parts. They want to sell the whole thing with tranny, trust me, I know! McLeod makes the only bellhousing you will find to mate the T-56 to a 302. It is their part# 8750-00. You will also need the intermediate plate their part# 8705-01, the sleeve the TOB rides on part# 8-111, and an adjustable ball stud for the clutch fork #16909.
If you get your t-56 out of an F-body, you will need to change the input shaft because the one you have is not the right length. You need a 10 spline for a 2.66 first gear Tremec part# TUFM 6132, bearing 1300-133-006 and shim kit TNKT 2226.

Yeah, it's allot of stuff. I spent hours searching and gathering all this info.
The bell is $360, the intermediate plate with TOB tube is $285, and the adjustable ball is $38 all through Darkhorse.
The new input shaft if I remember was $165 and available through Darkhorse.

I have other deatils of the swap if your interested.

I refused to pay the D&D price, so went the long way. It's cheaper, and you get a SFI bellhousing out of the deal.

Good luck!
