cobra trans or tr 3650

ok i have a brand new tr 3650 coming for my car but i talked to a guy at work and his friend has a 04 cobra 6 speed with clutch, flywheel, and drive shaft for $1500. should i try to trade or stick with what i got?

if everything is in good shape with that guy's T-56 you'd be a fool to pass up that deal. That's pretty much everything you need right there to do the swap.

Make sure you read the how-to's on it. There are some mods to do to get it in there.

The t56 swap is a little more complicated than just putting it in. I heard there are alot of parts involved in the swap. But if you have everything, 1500 is a great deal on it and it is a better transmission.

Yeah...NO! Basically you put the trans in, use new crossmember or mod stock one/relocate (older model year cars), use a cobra driveshaft, aaannd...yer done You can reuse stock clutch, clutch fork, TOB, all that if you want. You will need to wire up the reverse lockout to a switched 12v source or your brake pedal light switch. It's pretty straight forward, about as straight forward as a T45 --> 3650 swap.

how do i run to a 12v source and my reverse lights were working whenever they wanted, how do i fix that?
