Ok that is the code # I am getting and that is what the code description is. The Ford dealer says that it could be the DPFE valve, has anyone ever had this code and know where the DPFE valve is located? or has anyone found a different solution for this code?. I have checked for vacume leaks already. Thanks for the help.

It could be a faulty EGR sensor, valve, or the little vacuum hoses are broken. The thing about those vacuum lines is that you won't be able to tell they're leaking. The most likely thing is the lines, since they kind of rot over time.

Did you clean the EGR valve itself? They get coked up with carbon. Takes 10 mins to remove, clean and reinstall.

As said, see if the EGR is opening at cruise and if there is vacuum to it in the first place. You can use a handpump to see if the valve opens.

Good luck.
