my car got hot today and threw a check engine light. i put the code reader on and nothing came up in on-demand codes, but a 64 popped up in the stored problems. anyone tell me what a 64 means and if it relates to my overheating?

64 is for the ACT, isnt it?

See Jrichker's post with the values for the sensor at various temps to see if yours is out of calibation.

Good luck.

That means there is a problem in the air charge temprature sensor circuit. It is probally internally shorted but it can also be a wiring problem, but chances are it's the sensor. It is located in the lower intake manifold.

Well, it is the code you pulled. As for overheating, not likely.

Good luck.
