Code Reader

Does anybody have the code reader that Wal-Mart sells its like 33.00 and it has a digital read out of the codes. Just wonder if anyone has it and if its any good and if its worth it. I bought a cheap one a while back and i can't figure out how to work the damn thing all it does is a little light flashes and it beeps. I need a easy one that tells me the codes lol

I have not tried that one, but it is the one i would get if i did not have one. i have read of one guy on this side and one fox guy who bought that particular unit and they both said it was a good one.

so take that for what it is worth.

yeah like i said in my first post i bought a real cheap one and its a POS it beeps and flashes to much for me to understand it it says in the book it does a single beep thing between every code all the ones i hear are single beeps so i don't know if its telling me something or not

Went to my walmart and couldn't find it anywhere in the car section. Maybee they haven't got it in yet. I will get one soon though.

lol maybe your walmart ain't as cool as mine. Ours has it by the gauge pods they sell can't remember if the spark plugs are near it or not.

This is what I got at walmart to read the codes.....Works great. No probelms at all. Never breaks or anything!!! Pic attached.

HA HA I seen in my Chilton/Hayes manual (not sure which one it is) that you can do that but seems a little shady to me

Yellow: I beat ya to it. I took the car out for a ride after it heated up damn CE litght came on so I went to walmart and picked one up ran it said i had insuficant EGR valve flow kinda figured it was something to do with that. Them damn cheap ass plastic vacuum lines keep breaking and i kinda riged it up to work. so after checking it i sniped the one line so hopfully it flows better i took it out for a spin afterwards and it didn't come on again so maybe i fixed it. I'll have to redo the lines before inspection so I'm sure theres no problem
