Coil is loose?

My MSD coil is loose from the square mounting bracket? It looks like the epoxy is broken. Car still runs alright, but my rpm signal for my wide band is very erratic could this be associated (stock tach still works)?

You mean that the coil pack isn't attached to the magnetic ring?

You probably ought to buy a new coil or send that one back as defective...

I sent my Msd Coil back because it felt loose, they sent me a new one and it was the same way. I called MSD and they said they were all like that, so I ended up using tie wraps to make it secure. I think that is one of the reasons MSD Coils have that notorious Humming/Buzzing sound.
