I have an 83 mustang. i bought 95 spindles and going to put a tubular k member, A arms and a coil over kit 300lbs springs. Not sure what struts to buy to compliment the upgrade, other than they should be 89 to 93 struts. Do coil over shocks need special struts?
The coilover kit needs to match the struts. Maximum Motorsports sells the kits to match various types of struts. I'm looking at doing this myself someday. Maximum Motorsports Mustang Front Coil-Over Kits
Alot of the kits (like the UPR one I have) are generic in the fit department. I had to remove the cap on top of my stock monroe to get the sleeve over the strut, and the notches in the sleeve do not lock on my strut as the base (of the strut) will not allow it. I would ask what you intend to do w/ your car as a 300# spring is too stiff for any drag racing application. I have 130# springs on my car's front end.
