hey guys, i have a used coil over kit i want to install on my lakewood 70/30's and the piece the spring sits on does not fit over the strut itself. do i need to find another coil over kit? i believe its a QA1 coil over kit and i bought it off ebay. the guy said he had it installed on his 70/30's. can anyone give me info?

Yeah man it should work not problem, easy fix. Take the strut out and knock off the metal piece that is spot welded to the strut body on the top of the strut, by the shaft. Should go right on. Lemme know if you can't get it to work.

I've heard you have to do that with most struts, no big deal.

What # springs did you get?

i was wondering, what would be better for my car?

lakewood 70/30's + eibach drag launch springs (i already have them installed)
or
lakewood 70/30's + coil overs

i am unsure what + springs they are, i can check on the spring if its on there

coilovers tend to be a little harsh for daily driven cars, I'd keep the drag springs - they should be anodized blue if they are eibachs
