Hey all.

I was browsing through Lordco and found this COIL SPRING ADJUSTER KIT. On the box it said "Lift or Lower your vehicle by 1/5 - 2"

Has anybody ever tried one of these? Im considering lowering my car about 1 inch only and instead of spending the 150-200 on springs I thought this may be a good solution at $19.99

hehe

Can anybody give me more information about this? Worth it or Junk?? Any side-effects / downsides of installing something like this on my springs?

Thanks

I'm assuming that's an adjustment tool for cars with coil-overs; since they are adjustable. Depending where you get them, they're around $900-1000 for all around with new shocks/struts and hypercoil springs.

If they are just clamps.. two per spring.. a bolt w/ two ring type things.. it will mess your car up.. trust me go with the springs... i had them for about six monts.
Problems
1) My exhaust began hitting the axle.. so i got my muffler guy to rebuild it under the axle.
2) One of the clamps began rubbing against a brake line, and ended up putting a hole in it- lost the brakes 120 dollar part from ford and 100 installation.
3) Noise- every time i hit a bump, they would hit the body in some spot, way, or form. Even though when my father and i installed them.. we made sure they wouldn't hit anything... they still did, they would twist their way around the spring at their own will.
4) All noises make the ride seem much stiffer.
5) Two times on the back right they both went to one side of the spring and basically bent the spring hard to one side....i hit a hard bump turning into a car dealership and the spring popped out of place, i rode to the local tire shop, where some friends work, and got them to force the wheel off (due to the spring holding it on) and fix it.
6) those friends didn't put the clamp back on rite so i ended up loosing one clamp off of the back right spring, which causes another noise.
7) I put roush springs on, so then my exhaust was hitting the axle again so I got it rebuilt over the axle... agian.
8) And all of the times i jacked my car up and forced a clamp back onto the opposit side of the spring.

I have had no problems since i got my roushes installed..... trust me .. you get what you pay for.
