Hey guys i'm lost on this, but i here good things about them. So what are the advantges to the coilover kit compared to shocks,struts and springs? Do you still have Shocks, Struts, and springs when you go to a coilover kit? I'm very lost.

"Coilover" simply means coil-over-shock. In other words, the spring coil surrounds the shock (or strut) so that the spring load and the damping force are localized in the same area. This is advantageous because A. you can design a complex suspension system in a smaller area and B. less suspension binding occurs because you have fewer contact points, and the spring load is placed in a more effective position. By moving the spring to the strut location on the front wheels, you can utilize higher spring rates without sacrificing ride quality. The same can be said for the back, but I don't think its has such an extreme effect in the rear.
Aftermarket coilover systems are also usually adjustable and made from high strength lightweight materials. So with a coilover system, you can independently adjust each corner's ride height, and effectively move the center of gravity of the car so that it performs better for autocross, road racing, drag, whatever. Being that the components are lighter, you have less unsprung weight, and the car will react to bumps and elevation changes in the road more effectively.
From what I've heard about our cars, because they were not originally designed with coilovers in mind, some people will run into clearance issues with wide wheels and/or wheels with excessive backspacing. You just have to do your homework before you start bolting parts on.

The rear definitely has some benefit, especially if you wanted to run something like a 28" tire and needed to adjust the ride height for clearance. As pointed out, you'll want to check for interference before running them, however.
