Awhile back i tried to remove my coin slot in the center console to clean it by prying it out and using needle nose pliers and pulling it out, but no luck. I ordered this nice switch to replace it and am wondering how the heck do u get this darn thing out. If anybody has got there's out please give me some ideas!!

Really, that didn't seem to work. Seemed like the plastic was gonna crack before the slot would pop out.

I want mine out too but it wont come out.I tried prying it but it wont budge and I dont want to damage my center console.I dont even use it and it's always fillin up with crud.I found a coin slot delete kit on e-bay that I was thinking about getting. The kit looks like piece of aluminum that fills the hole.Anyone use this kit, maybe some pics? But anyway I got to get the stupid coin holder out first!I'm doin my trans swap in a couple of weeks so the console has to come out maybe it will be easier from the bottom?

Isn't it made like the fog light switch? (with two press-in type clips under the console) If it is, it will easily remove from the bottom. Just press them in with your fingers and push up. You can just remove the insert for the console junk box (2 screws) to access it........
